I have the flowmaster outlaw series on my truck . I've take my truck in for recalls and some warranty repairs and haven't had issues with the dealership.
Does anyone else NOT like the sound of straight-thru mufflers?
Back then, the majority of the aftermarket high performance mufflers were of straight thru design, so still today I like the straight though sound over any thing since!

How do I get rid of the annoying exhaust drone with new Magnaflow ...
Overall the exhaust is much quieter than the dumped flowmaster I had on there, but right around 1800-2100 rpms there is an annoying drone that seems to resonator through the entire cab.....it's horrible. And it's right at the rpm I cruise at when in tow mode on the highway at around 65-70. How can I get rid of this annoying drone?

The best sounding exhaust on a 5.7L HEMI is the one that you like the best. Really, it's that subjective. I, for one, prefer Magnaflow for their sound. Others like Borla, while others like Mufflex or Flowmaster. So don't pick one someone else likes, pick one you like.

after doing some testing on a stock 2000 transam about 10 years ago nothing else changed but the mufflers, the power difference was so minimal its funny mufflers are noise makers at this power level pick the one that sounds the best I went with the direct bolt in flowmaster 50 HD its stainless steel and sounds amazing.
